Terms of Service
Last updated: [date]
These terms govern your use of CardVault Identify ("the Service"), the API and dashboard at aicardvault.io. By creating an account or calling the API, you agree to them.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you sign up on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company to these terms.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit illegal content, or use the Service to violate any applicable law.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying models, indexes, or source code of the Service.
- Circumvent or exceed the rate limits and request quotas of your plan, including by sharing API keys across accounts to get around plan limits.
- Resell raw access to the API without a separate agreement with us.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
3. API keys and account security
You are responsible for keeping your API keys and account credentials confidential. All activity under your API keys is treated as authorized by you. Rotate or revoke a key immediately from the dashboard if you suspect it has leaked. We are not liable for losses caused by a compromised key you failed to secure.
4. Billing and subscriptions
The Service is offered on flat monthly plans (Free, Pro, Scale — see our pricing page for current details), each with an included monthly request allotment and a published overage rate for usage beyond that allotment. Paid plans are billed in advance via Stripe and renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access until then. We don't offer prorated refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
5. Service availability
We work to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Scheduled maintenance, upstream provider outages, or unforeseen incidents may cause downtime. Plans with a published SLA are governed by the terms of that SLA.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CardVault Identify will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Identify results, including confidence scores, are provided as a tool to assist your workflow and are not guaranteed to be accurate — you are responsible for how you use them.
7. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, fail to pay outstanding fees, or if we discontinue the Service, with notice where reasonably possible.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll notify account holders by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
